Sung works because lifters trust each other: real people, real gyms, real lifts. These guidelines protect that. They apply to everything you do on Sung — posts, proofs, comments, messages, votes, and your profile.
Community verification is the heart of Sung, and it only works if proofs are real.
• Never submit faked, edited, sped-up, or misattributed proof videos.
• Never claim a lift, weight, or result you didn’t achieve as shown.
• Vote on proofs honestly — don’t trade votes, brigade, or use extra accounts.
Cheating gets results removed and accounts banned. It’s the fastest way off the platform.
• No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech. Trash talk about a lift is sport; attacking a person is not.
• No shaming anyone’s body, weight, ability level, or starting point. Everyone in the gym started somewhere.
• Rejecting someone’s proof is a judgment about the video, not the person — keep comments about the criteria.
• No nudity or sexually explicit content. Normal athletic and gym wear is obviously fine.
• No graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying self-harm.
• No promotion of illegal activity, including the sale of controlled substances.
• Follow your gym’s filming rules.
• Be mindful of bystanders in your videos — don’t film people in vulnerable situations, and reframe or reshoot if someone asks not to appear.
• Never share anyone’s private information (address, contact details, identity) without their consent.
Chasing a leaderboard is fun; getting hurt is not. Don’t post content that pressures others into unsafe attempts, and don’t attempt maxes without the preparation, equipment, and spotting they call for. See the health and safety section of our Terms of Service.
• No spam, repetitive self-promotion, pyramid schemes, or scams.
• No fake accounts, bought engagement, or automation.
• Don’t use Sung content or data outside the app without permission.
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it in the app and/or block the account — reports are reviewed by our moderation systems and team.
Violations are handled in proportion to their severity: content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. Severe violations (threats, sexual content involving minors, repeated cheating) mean immediate permanent removal. Banned users may not return on new accounts.
